Toilet paper is the product everyone orders and few people think about. Yet the wrong choices show every day: rolls that do not fit the dispenser, paper that runs out over the weekend, costs that climb for no reason.
01Household roll or jumbo?
The household roll is the one we know from home. It suits small spaces with little traffic, where the washroom is checked often. A jumbo is a large roll that sits in a dedicated dispenser and holds many times more paper. In busy spaces such as restaurants, schools and offices with many staff, it cuts down on changes and on the times someone finds the holder empty.
02Two ply or three?
More plies feel softer, but each roll holds less length. In hotels feel matters and three ply is a common choice for guest rooms. In common areas and schools, two ply is the sensible balance of cost and quality.
03Recycled or virgin pulp?
Virgin pulp paper is whiter and softer. Recycled usually costs less and suits businesses that want to show environmental consistency. Both do the job. The choice is about image and budget, not about how clean anything gets.
The best paper is the one that never runs out when someone needs it.
04How much to order
There is no single number for everyone. Start with an estimate, measure what you used in a month and adjust the next order. Always keep two weeks of stock. Paper does not expire, but it does run out.
- Count your dispensers and note their type.
- Estimate customer areas and staff areas separately.
- Store in a dry place, off the floor.
- Put one person in charge of ordering, not several.
